Titan Sample Return End-to-End Mission Design

2022 Caltech Space Challenge - Team Voyager

Objective: Design a flagship end-to-end gas, liquid, solid sample return mission to Saturn's moon Titan.

  • Samples must be obtained from in Ligeia Mare or its shoreline in triplicate for desired measurements
  • NASA planetary protection guidelines must be observed

Implementation: The Undersea Retrieval of Titan Lake Extractions (TURTLE) Mission

Mission Proposal Submitted to AIAA SciTech 2023: TURTLE Mission Concept
